Hello, I am Anthony Kendrick. A native New Englander at home in the PNW. I enjoy my old wingback, a cup of Earl Grey tea, quiet time with my friends , and a good turn of phrase.
As a school librarian, I’ve spent the past fifteen years encouraging students to read, write, and play with words in creative ways. My days are filled with words and images, from picture books to encyclopedic tomes. Sometimes, though, I feel the urge not to read the words and look at the pictures—I want to create them.
My writing has appeared in a variety of small print and online publications. I also curated and produced two volumes of a literary journal I playfully called Puffin Circus. I carried that passion for literary publishing into education, where for the past seven years I have curated a middle school literary journal each spring.
As an artist, I make no pretenses. Sometimes I simply feel the need to create. I hope you enjoy what you see on these pages.
